ENCINO, CA (March 17, 2015) –ACM Lifting Lives® announced today that reigning ACM Vocal Group of the Year winners and current nominee The Band Perry will be taking part in the ACM Lifting Lives Gala presented by Mattress Firm on Friday, April 17 at the Omni Dallas Hotel in Dallas, TX. The Band Perry with special surprise guests will make an appearance at the gala for an extraordinary moment that cannot be missed!
Also announced, Emmy® Award-winning television personality, Montel Williams, will co-host the gala. He joins previously announced hosts country music luminaries Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood. Emmy-award winning journalist and co-host of Entertainment Tonight, Nancy O’Dell, will co-host with Montel.
Previously announced performers include Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban, Hunter Hayes and Little Big Town.The inaugural gala will kick off with a cocktail reception, followed by a dinner, live auction and a stellar line-up of performances by country music’s most celebrated artists.
Proceeds from the gala will benefit ACM Lifting Lives, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music dedicated to improving lives through the power of music, and Garth Brooks’ charity, Teammates for Kids – specifically the Child Life Zones in Children’s Health of Dallas and Cook Children’s of Fort Worth.
