PASSING OF LONGTIME ACM BOARD MEMEBER, JACK LAMEIER

Longtime ACM board member, Jack Lameier, passed away on May 30, 2012.  Jack was an ACM board member for 28 years, and had been an ACM Lifting Lives board member since the charity was formed. 

 

The ACM honored Jack with the Mae Boren Axton Award in 2007 for his years of dedication and service to the ACM.  He was instrumental in the move to Las Vegas, among many other noteworthy contributions to the Academy.  His career in the music included more than 40 years at Sony, and hr was a veteran in radio promotions.  In 2006, he received the President's Award from the Country Radio Broadcasters.  He was loved and respected by so many in the industry, the community and the Academy are truly saddened by this loss.  Jack was 69 years-old. 

 

Thoughts and prayers are with his devoted wife Connie, their children and grandchildren.
