Encino, CA (April 5, 2013) – ACM Lifting Lives® announced today that the April “My Cause” web feature will spotlight performers and beneficiaries participating in ACM Party for a Cause Festival during the Week Vegas Goes Country® including Lee Brice and his cause, “Folds of Honor,” and The Band Perry and their cause, “Outnumber Hunger.”  The web feature drives awareness of artist-supported charitable organizations and supports fundraising efforts for those philanthropies.

My Cause is a way for ACM Lifting Lives to tangibly demonstrate the Academy’s support of country music artists.  Many people have been helped by these fantastic charities, and ACM Lifting Lives bolsters that support by increasing awareness and funding for these very deserving causes.  Over the past two years, ACM Lifting Lives has donated more than $45,000.00 to artists’ favorite charities through this program, and will again make donations in addition to driving fan awareness.

Outnumber Hunger is a program that helps fight hunger in local communities by helping Feeding America secure meals for its network of local food banks.  Approximately one in six Americans struggles with hunger.  It is an issue that often affects hardworking families who face tough decisions about whether to pay bills or pay for food.  In response to this alarming issue, The Band Perry, General Mills and Feeding America have joined forces to Outnumber Hunger.

Folds of Honor is a program that helps ensure no family is left behind in the fight to preserve American freedom.  Through scholarships and other assistance, the organization gives back to the spouses and children of soldiers killed or disabled in service to our country.  They provide healing, hope and an opportunity for dreams to be realized.
